Destination Palestine WP Plugin Theming

The Destination Palestine plugin provides versatile features for building a custom website, offering both shortcodes and Elementor widgets. This guide walks you through the steps of utilizing these features to create a unique and engaging website tailored to your preferences.

Shortcodes #

Embedding Content Directly from the Media Server #

To embed content directly from the MediaGraph server, refer to the plugin’s WordPress documentation page for detailed instructions.

Importing Content into WordPress and Using Shortcodes #

For more control over the content, you can import it into WordPress and use post shortcodes. Follow these steps:

  1. Import the content into your website.
  2. Edit the posts and place the shortcodes you wish to show directly in the post content area.
  3. The list of available shortcodes is provided at the end of this page. Simply copy the desired shortcode from the table and paste it into the content area of your post.
  4. If shortcodes are not showing, edit the page preferences and enable the shortcodes panel.

Hint: If shortcodes are not showing, edit the page preferences and enable the shortcodes panel.

Elementor Widgets #

Utilizing Elementor widgets is the recommended approach for building your website. Follow these steps:

  1. Use the Elementor “Theme Builder” feature.
  2. Build a layout for the “Listings” post type.

Available Elementor Widgets: #

1. DP Shortcode Widget #

  • Drag the widget into the canvas.
  • Select the field you wish to show from the available list.
  • If the value is empty, the widget will not render for website visitors.

2. DP Icon List Widget #

This advanced widget can be used to render content for each post in a list. Follow these steps:

  1. Drag the widget into the canvas.
  2. Enter a title for the widget.
  3. Expand the “Icon List” panel and click on “Add Item” to insert a new list.
  4. Expand the newly created list item and click on the “Dynamic Tags” icon.
  5. Select “Post Custom Field” and then choose the field you wish to render. If the field is not in the list, type the name in the “Custom Key” field (without including “field_”).
  6. Select an icon to suit the content that will be rendered by this widget.

Notes: You can merge more than one field into a single widget. Refer to the Destination Palestine theme for examples available in the “Theme Builder” section under “Single Listing.”
